PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, Thailand, one of the leading petrochemical manufacturers in Asia, had successfully completed their Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) inspection for the product “Acetone” under the Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme (FMCS). The inspection was conducted by the BIS Officer “Mr. Prem Sajani” as on 16-17 Jan 2023, defines as a part of the process for granting a BIS License and to use the ISI Mark for exporting Acetone to the Indian market.
During inspection all the manufacturing operations, production controls, testing laboratories and quality management systems were evaluated to meet the relevant Indian Standard - IS 170:2020 (Acetone – Specification). The evaluation made sure the product met BIS standards for prior performance, safety and purity before being shipped to India. The capability of every test facility at the manufacturing unit was confirmed with BIS standards in accordance to perform routine and type of testing. Records that are related to finished product testing, in-process quality checks and raw material inspection were carefully examined. To confirm the product's compliance with IS 170:2020, samples were also collected during the inspection for independent testing at an Indian laboratory accredited by BIS
