ECE Industries Ltd. is a regular and approved supplier of Power Transformers up to 220 kV class to various State Government Power Utilities and the industrial sector. ECE manufactures Power Transformers up to 220 kV class, capacity up to 100 MVA and supplied over 85,000 to various State Electricity Boards, Power Utilities, Northern Railways, Defence establishments, and to Industrial Units all across the country.
As further to strengthen its laboratory management system and to maintain the alignment with international standards, an Internal Audit as per IS/ISO/IEC 17025:2017 was conducted by KMA Global Training and Certification Services LLP. This audit was jointly led by Mr. Ajay Kumar Bhatnagar, CMD of KMA Global, and Mr. D. K. Mukhopadhyay, both are highly experienced auditors in the field of quality assurance, conformity assessment, and in BIS certification systems.
The audit was aimed to evaluate the laboratory’s compliance as per the requirements of IS/ISO/IEC 17025:2017 - General Requirements are the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. It covers many Important aspects such as management system implementation, testing & calibration procedures, equipment control & maintenance, personnel competence, traceability of measurements, and quality control practices.
All the relevant departments and laboratory sections were comprehensively reviewed to verify the conformity and to identify the areas for continual improvement. The audit team interacted with technical staff and examined the documentation and assessed the effectiveness of management system in ensuring a reliable and valid test results.
A detailed report is highlighting the observations, strengths, and recommendations that was shared with the management of ECE Industries Ltd. to support their continual enhancement for laboratory’s quality and technical competence as per IS/ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
