The BIS inspection conducted on 11th – 13th June 2025, creates a marvelous milestone in the regulatory Journey of KMA global as KMA Global representatives (CEO & Assistant Manager) had an opportunity to arrange the BIS inspection of PTTGC 11 – Manufacturing Unit and WGCL – Repackaging Unit situated in the Rayong Island of Thailand, under the scheme I of Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme (FMCS) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
The objective of the visit was to check the production facilities and test the competency of testing personnels and to assess the workability of testing equipment required to test the relevant testing parameters of PE as per IS 7328: 2020.
During the visit, it was noted that the BIS officer conducted the preliminary inspection accompanied by representatives from KMA Global, to majorly review the manufacturing and repackaging facilities, GC 11 & WGCL specifically.
Further, during the visit, it was also observed that the BIS officer had laid a great emphasis on assessing the key testing parameters of the product – PE, such as Description of the product, Melt Flow Index/rate (MFI/MFR), and Density.
The inspection concluded with a closing meeting, where the BIS Officer shared his key observations made at the site while the inspection was conducted and emphasized adherence to certification procedures.
In the process of obtaining a BIS license, this inspection represented a significant milestone for WGCL and PTTGC 11. BIS permits acceptance of the Standard Mark (ISI Mark), allocate an individual CM/L number, and grant the license when testing has been certified adequate. This will guarantee consistent safety, quality, and compliance in the Indian market.
At the closure meeting, it was noted that both the BIS officer gave his observation he made during the inspection and wholeheartedly extended his thanks for the warm hospitality and full-length cooperation extended to him in the course of visit. KMA Global representatives were also given the vote of thanks by the GC Team for arranging their smooth and successful inspection.
